Calories in and calories out. What a profound article that can deduce that if you have a place to walk, sometimes you do it. Big grant money I bet.

I live in an older neighborhood and you find a few people out walking of a morning. It would be nicer to walk with sidewalks and not having to dodge the cars.

This is so true! Now that I live in the country I hardly ever walk anywhere. The dirt road I live on has some very isolated parts, there are no street lights, and the nearest neighbor can be a mile away. I just don't feel comfortable walking under those conditions.

I think this is so true. Newer neighborhoods don't have sidewalks at all. I know that I would walk more often if it didn't have to be in the street. There are no paths to stores, the train station, schools or anywhere my family goes. Where I grew up in Evanston, IL. we could walk or ride our bikes everywhere.
