What advice do you have for women who are looking to start a business?
In my case, that would be writing your first book. My advice is to, first and foremost, dedicate yourself to finishing the project. Decide on what you want to write about and sketch out a rough outline. This will help to keep you moving forward.
Draw from real life. Is there someone that you know who has lead an extraordinary life or done something heroic? Do you know a particularly romantic tale? Use them as your model for your story. Make your characters live on paper. Your book must be written in Microsoft Word, must be single spaced and contain no punctuation, grammar or spelling errors.
Get a writing partner whose strengths compliment your weaknesses and vice versa. You will be a tremendous help to each other.
Your work will receive a great deal more positive attention because of your apparent effort in creating a quality product. Good luck in your literary career, and I wish you every success.

What advice do you have for women who are frustrated with where they are in life right now?
Do something about it. It’s your life, your one shot. You can’t keep waiting until the children are grown or the mortgage is paid off, or whatever excuses we all tend to use when the bottom line is that we are afraid to try. If you don’t try, you won’t fail, but you won’t succeed either.
What are your keys to success?
Be tenacious, ask for help when it’s needed, and work hard. Be willing to pay your dues and in all things be honest and true. Help others following behind you. I’ve learned more helping others than just working on my own career.
