It was our intention to create a calendar as a Fundraising Project to benefit the non-profit organization, Dress For Success, but since we didn’t get 12 men we could not carry through with the project. We will, however, honor them for being men of honor and distinction and true character. Please join us in saluting these men throughout the year.
Bob Burg—Best selling co-author of the book, The Go-GiverDOB: January 29, 1958 Residence: Florida Marital Status: Single Which letter in “h.u.n.k. best describes you and why? Gosh, how does one do that without sounding arrogant? :-) (okay… I guess “kind”) What qualities do you look for in a woman? Kind, great sense of humor. Cute tushie. :-) |
Martin Diano, Founder of Boomer AuthorityDOB: October 25, 1947 Residence: Casa Grande, AZ Marital status: Annette; married 40 years, 7 months Which letter in “h.u.n.k. best describes you and why? “H” because I’m always ‘hopeful’ and view the problems and challenges encountered in everyday life as if the glass were half full. What qualities do I look for in a woman? That’s easy! A woman exactly like my wife: beautiful, understanding, supportive, makes me laugh, compassionate, emphatic, strong willed, and loves children (particularly her grandchildren). |
Rick Finch (Arranger, Producer, seven time Grammy Award winner / 2010 Grammy nominee and co-founder of “KC and the Sunshine Band”)DOB: January 23, 1954 Residence: Ohio Marital Status: Single Which letter in “h.u.n.k. best describes you and why? “H” for ‘happy,’ ‘humbled’ and ‘helpful’ – every day is a gift and I never take that for granted. I try to share happiness through the artists and the music I produce, and if I can create at least one smile each day, then it’s a good, humbling day – plus through the music, it enables me to be helpful to charities (like the “Feel Teal” Ovarian Cancer Awareness effort, for which I am its spokesperson). What qualities do you look for in a woman? Being committed to the music and my work as a producer, I haven’t had a lot of time for many relationships. But when those few occasions have come my way to have someone in my life, I would say I look to a woman to be incredibly understanding and supportive of what it is that I do because it does consume a lot of my time. She also needs to have a huge heart and share my love of music and to care about the welfare of others as I do. |
Nathaniel GibbsDOB: September 14, 1956 Residence: North Carolina Marital status: Married three years Which letter in the word h.u.n.k. best describes you? I would have to say “H” and “U” because I try to understand a person’s situation and help them with their problem. I think this comes from my very technical work as a computer security analyst. What qualities do I look for in a woman? I appreciate a woman who has strength, intelligence and is understanding and loving. |
Pat HowlettResidence: North Carolina Marital Status: married Pat Howlett’s past includes 14 years with the Air Force and 20 as a small business owner. He joined his first “Virtual Community” in 1986. In 1997 he would bring Internet access over the Continental Divide in Colorado to serve the Northern Mountain communities of the State. Prior to this residents and business owners made long distance calls to connect to AOL. Currently, he is in the early stages of launching 268 Micro Small Business Networks across America – one for every area code in the US. The first and to date largest is inSide919.com serving the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding communities. Most come into the world with an Umbilical cord – to the Doctor, Nurses and his Mothers surprise Pat came with an ethernet cable upgrade… He is now wireless. |
Gary loperDOB: June 15, 1956 Residence: St Petersburg, FL Marital Status: Married to Caryl Loper 5 years Which letter in “h.u.n.k. best describes you and why? Utopian –I do truly believe that we can create our version of perfection, by looking deep inside and healing ourselves and helping others heal their pains. Then we will all feel heard, understood, loved & respected. What qualities do you look for in a woman? Qualities: Listening, Respect, Caring, Sharing, Honest, Nurturing, student/Teacher, Compassionate, Passionate, Healthy, Yoga, Beach, Movies, Walks, personal Growth, Motivator, Funny, Smiles, Low Maintenance, Soft Voice, Big Heart, Natural Health, Travel, Making a difference in the world, Growing Everyday |
Mitch MitchellDOB: September 1959 Residence: NY Marital Status: Married 12 years, Robyn Which letter in “h.u.n.k. best describes you and why? H for honesty, one of my top 3 moral compass points. What qualities do you look for in a woman? I like women who are secure in who they are, who don’t need me to entertain them but enjoy my company. I like smart women so I can have someone to talk to about all sorts of things. And I like a woman who can laugh. |
Kelvin P. Ringold, Sr.DOB: October 24, 1953 Residence: New York Marital Status: Single Which letter in “h.u.n.k. best describes you and why? I believe most of us are capable of more than we give ourselves credit for. We accept and adopt limiting beliefs thrust upon us from well meaning and not-so-well meaning people, and settle for far less than is possible. I help people to become more, to conquer their fears, overcome their weaknesses, feel better about themselves, so they can see more possibilities and less liabilities in life. What qualities do you look for in a woman? A lot! Attractive, intelligent, positive, strong self image. She must be a good communicator, good conversationalist, self sufficient in a social setting and very trusting (because I know a lot of women). Once we get through all of that, I am a sensualist—she should really like being pampered. |
